Robert J. Thomas has written one hundred-six of these Jess Williams books and he just keep getting better. I would highly recommend that new readers go back to book number one and read from there. You'll see that grammatically he gets better, he finally quit referring to everyone as "he" so you had to read closely to be sure who he was talking about. He doesn't do that any more. His stories flow naturally and logically and the reader doesn't get lost. I highly recommend the Jess Williams series of westerns. Jess is hunting down another bad man whose latest crime was hanging a husband in front of his wife and two small children over twenty dollars. The wife of the hanged man is Mindy and Betsie and Roger Jr are her children. Jess is generous in helping out the family and I admire him for helping out the family. Jess meets another young bounty hunter Chatkits who believes in bringing wanted killers in alive, read to learn how he learns his lesson on that fatal mistake. This book is not short of action and is a joy to read. See what Dana offers Jess.
